In class/homework: Alive Day Memories, Abu Ghraib, and Guantanamo Bay

Date assigned
Thursday, March 5

Assignment
Watch Alive Day Memories (we did this in class):

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4yCdblq1tk&safe=active
Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CswHis8T3FA
Part 3 (stop at 8:25): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SLaNy9wWhI

Then read three articles about prisoners at Guantanamo Bay:

My Guantanamo Nightmare and Notes From A Guantanamo Survivor: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FYATAvHeQJYIsYUxAGkTIbbk_8BREDZQCRFZ1rd7T1Q/pub
Gitmo Is Killing Me: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pXBogApIJ1lIe1ugvzPIbBirbVOmhevx2isOTa9Y1Uc/pub

Then answer the following questions in at least 400 words on the Google Group:

1) Which soldier from Alive Day Memories did you have the most sympathy for?  Why?

2) What aspects of the Guantanamo Bay stories (or Abu Ghraib from class) stuck out the most to you?  Why?

3) Do you have more sympathy for wounded US soldiers or for prisoners in Guantanamo Bay?  Why?
