Watch the rest of Part 3 of "Islam: Empire of Faith" (whatever we didn't finish in class).
Period 2 - the last 14 minutes, from 39:00 to the end
Period 3 - the last 16 minutes, from 37:00 to the end
Period 4 - the last 15 minutes, from 38:00 to the end

When you finish the film, write a 1 page typed response (1.5 pages if it's handwritten) about the following:
1) Suleiman's campaign to take the Austrian city of Vienna failed. Why?
2) Suleiman had his son killed. Why?
3) Which of these 3 episodes was most interesting to you, and why? If none of them were interesting, tell me why you didn't like them.
4) Did you consider this to be a valuable assignment? Would you suggest I use this film with my students in the future? Do you have any suggestions for how to structure it differently?
